Bisbee turquoise comes from southeastern Arizona, near the old mining town of Bisbee. The landscape sits high in the desert—elevated enough to catch cooler air—but still deeply shaped by arid, rugged conditions.

The terrain is a mix of steep, rocky hills and jagged ridgelines. The land is mineral-rich and vividly colored—rust reds, burnt oranges, and deep browns streak through exposed rock. The turquoise itself formed in this oxidized copper environment, which is why Bisbee stones have an intense chocolate-brown matrix among vivid blue.
