Origin stone: Big Bend Region, Texas

Over millions of years, mineral-rich water filled cracks in the ancient rock formations in the Big Bend Region of Texas, creating sparkling quartz crystals that can still be found today. The crystals range from tiny, glass-like points to larger specimens. After a summer rain, pieces of quartz often catch the sunlight along trails and creek beds, flashing like scattered diamonds against the darker stone.
