White Buffalo is white stone with a black or matrix, mined near Tonopah, Nevada. While marketed as turquoise, it is technically not turquoise, but a combination of white minerals-often magnesite, alumite, or calcite- that lack the copper needed to create blue or green colors typical of American turquoise.
